International Christian High School is dedicated to providing a quality Christian education for the underserved youth of Philadelphia and its surrounding areas. In addition, ICHS strives to introduce students to their heavenly Father as well as prepare them for college in a safe, wholesome, Christ-honoring atmosphere. We understand that to achieve these goals requires time outside of the classroom. To this end, ICHS offers many different extra-curricular activities for our students. These activities are designed to supplement the academics as well as help students grow in other areas: artistically, socially, and culturally.
Artistically speaking, our student body has the opportunity to participate in several activities: drama, chapel band, yearbook, art club, and barbershop club.
ICHS’ drama program was recognized in 2012 at the Newtown Student Theater Festival as Best Ensemble and several students took home honors for their performances, including the Best Actress award for one of our Juniors. The drama students see at least 2 plays outside of school each year and look forward to competing in the Bucks County Playhouse Student Festival in New Hope, Bucks County in May. Their Spring production usually falls in April.
ICHS’ student-led yearbook, The Clash, is in its second year of publication. Students learn about photo and written journalism. This creative outlet is an exciting opportunity for many students.
The Art Club is a new club at ICHS. Students will have the opportunity to share and create their own art in their choice of mediums.
